At 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, the Utah Utes, including former Desert Oasis High School standout Jet Gilliam, dropped a 14-12 decision to the Kansas Jayhawks in NCAA Division I baseball action.
The matchup was held at Hoglund Ballpark and marked the Utes’ first game against the Jayhawks this season.
Gilliam posted an impressive stat line with five hits in as many at-bats, scoring four runs and driving in another four.
The Utes are set to face the Jayhawks again at Hoglund Ballpark on Friday, April 3.
