Dr. Edgeworth, a practicing physician and member of the Nevada Assembly, has recently shared updates on healthcare and economic initiatives in Nevada through a series of posts on his social media account.
On May 3, 2026, Dr. Edgeworth reflected on the progress made by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine, stating: “Whoās driving the future of healthcare in Nevada? This morning, we heard directly from the @unlvmedicine as they shared exciting updates on their expansion of academic medicine. Itās incredible to see how far theyāve come since my days completing residency there 20 years ago.”
The following day, May 4, he commented on a local business event hosted by the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce: “Beautiful morning at the @lvlcc mixer! A vibrant room full of local leaders and business owners, all coming together with one shared goal: strengthening our economy and building a brighter future for the Valley. Conversations like these are where real momentum begins.” The Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce is recognized for its role in supporting Hispanic businesses and fostering economic development within Southern Nevada.
On May 5, Dr. Edgeworth addressed his legislative efforts to improve healthcare access: “As the only practicing physician in the Assembly, I feel a deep responsibility to use my experience to improve care for those who need it most. One example is AB161 from last session which sought to strengthen hospice care across Nevada.” According to public records from previous legislative sessions, AB161 was designed to enhance standards and oversight for hospice services statewide.
Dr. Edgeworth’s posts highlight ongoing developments in medical education at UNLV Medicine as well as community-driven economic discussions and recent legislative actions aimed at improving end-of-life care across Nevada.
